Operations Plan

A councillor’s office should be organized, not confusing.

This is the unique part of the website: a clear plan for how Hardeep would improve City/Town operations and resident service, not just list issues.

Resident Service Model

Listen → Log → Route → Follow up.

Residents should not have to chase five departments to understand a local issue. Hardeep would use an organized intake and follow-up model to help residents navigate Town services.

1

Listen

Collect resident concerns through phone, email, forms, town halls, and ward walks.

2

Log

Track issue type, location, photos, dates, departments, and promised follow-up.

3

Route

Send issues to the right channel while respecting staff roles and council process.

4

Follow up

Give residents plain updates so they know what changed, what is pending, and why.

First 100 Days

Start with a Ward 4 service audit.

The first step is understanding where residents feel friction: speeding, road maintenance, drainage, park conditions, permit delays, by-law confusion, construction notice gaps, and budget clarity.

  • Launch a Ward 4 issue map with resident-submitted hot spots.
  • Hold listening sessions in multiple neighbourhoods.
  • Publish a simple “what we heard” summary.
  • Identify quick wins and long-term council items.
  • Report back monthly with progress and blockers.

Operational principle

The councillor should not promise to personally fix every issue. The councillor should make sure issues are visible, properly routed, and followed up with respect and urgency.
